At NE Acoustic Sound our primary service is to provide the highest quality sound reinforcement for events from folk dances, to live performances. We provide other services that include:

Multi-track (up to 18 tracks) recording of the event
- Editing and mixing of a live performance recording and producing stereo MP3 recordings
Simple stage lighting and stage curtains
Live or delayed Video streaming of performances or events.
Working with artists to help them select and place instrument and vocal mics
Do you have an outdoor event? We can provide a 8'x 8' temporary outdoor stage

Case Study

NE Acoustic Sound has a mission: to make the performers shine and the audience smile. To do this, often, special problems have to be overcome.

A contra dance band we work with has a excellent musician who is blind. He also plays several string instruments and does not want to permanently alter these instruments by installing internal mics.

The problem with a microphone on a stand is, he can not see where it is … if it gets moved too close he can hit it while playing, if it gets moved to far away the mic becomes useless.

Moving a clip-on mic from one instrument to the next, quickly and accurately while you are blind is very difficult.

The solution was to provide him with a wireless lapel mic clipped onto his shirt. There is minor issue with this arrangement: the mic can also pick up the sound of breathing. Using judicious EQ settings, we were able to eliminate the breathing sounds without limiting the sound of his instruments.
